A teenager has been arrested and charged following the death of a 22-year-old man in a road collision on Friday night.
The crash occurred on Dallow Road, close to the junction of Easingwold Gardens, at 8.07pm.
It involved a grey Vauxhall Omega and a black Honda CBF 125.
The rider of the Honda sustained serious injuries and was taken to the Luton and Dunstable Hospital, but died on Saturday.
The driver of the Omega, a 17 year old who cannot be named for legal reasons, was arrested shortly after by officers and has been charged with causing death by due care and attention, failing to stop at a road traffic collision, no licence and no insurance.
He will appear before Luton Youth Court on September 30.
Officers from the Beds, Cambs and Herts Roads Policing Unit are now appealing for witnesses to come forward.
PS Stefanie Crichton, of the BCH Roads Policing Unit, said: “Officers undertook a full collision investigation at the scene and although a person has been charged in connection with this collision this remains an on-going investigation and anyone who witnessed the collision is urged to contact officers.”
