The SoLUTiONs Community Safety Partnership has developed a strategy to deal with the issues of gangs and serious violence.
They are seeking views on whether the new strategy is the right response.
They want to deter this type of activity, protect the community, and when crime occurs, deal with it appropriately.
Councillor Naseem Ayub said: “The strategy focuses on four main themes of pursue, prevent, protect and prepare. Running through these four strands are common themes of partnership working, communication and information.
“This has been developed to ensure we have a collaborative, efficient, evidence based and transparent approach throughout the strategy.”
