A Media Arts student at the University of Bedfordshire has been awarded a place at the National Film and Television School. Danielle Rogers received a First Class degree.

She is one of eight students annually selected into the National Film and Television School to study a postgraduate diploma in production management.

Dr Agnieszka Piotrowska, course leader, Film Practice and Theory at the University said: “Danielle has been an exemplary student, both very practical and hands on but also very engaged with the real world. We are so very proud of her at the Department of Media Arts. Her entering the highly competitive NFTS is a very significant achievement indeed. Well done Danielle.”

Ms Rogers said: “Bedfordshire is a University that has so many industry links and we were lucky enough to get the chance to meet and greet the likes of Peter Dickson, which was amazing. The lecturers show real commitment and passion into trying to help you find yourself and I would never have realised the path I wanted to take without the help of The University of Bedfordshire and Dr. Agnieszka Piotrowska.

“My hopes for the future are to get through the next year with the NFTS and hopefully make some great films. The University of Bedfordshire was the start of my journey and now I just need to keep working hard and hopefully achieve my dreams.”
