Police are looking for witnesses after a motorist hit an eight-year-old girl with his car, before driving off from the scene.
The incident happened at 6pm on Friday in New Town Road, Luton, close to the junction of Albert Street.
A dark blue Vauxhall Corsa collided with the young girl and the driver initially stopped and got out of his vehicle to check that the youngster was okay, before getting back into his car and driving off towards Latimer Road.
The girl suffered minor injuries to her head, elbows and knees and was treated by paramedics at the scene.
The driver of car was an Asian man, 18 to 20 years old, wearing a dark top and jeans.
