British Transport Police (BTP) is investigating after a purse was taken and money stolen from a woman at Luton station on Monday, July 21. Officers have released an image of a woman they would like to talk to about the incident, which took place at about 1.45pm. Detective Constable Matt Nolan said: “The victim was waiting by the barriers for her mother. She rested her purse on the side whilst she leant down to fix her shoe and a woman who was passing picked it up. “The victim followed the woman and managed to retrieve her purse, but when she looked inside shortly after, she realised that some of her money was missing.” Officers are keen to speak with anyone who may recognise the woman pictured as they believe she may have key information about the incident.
