A YEAR 9 student has been given the honour of designing the logo for a new ‘federation’ of Luton secondary schools.
Talented Cardinal Newman student Megan McGeoghegan, 14, was announced as the winner of the competition to design the logo for ‘Luton Futures’, a consortium of schools formed with the “explicit aim of achieving excellent standards”.
The schools are Ashcroft, Cardinal Newman, Challney Girls, Icknield, Lealands, Lea Manor, Stopsley and Woodlands, and the federation is chaired by Cardinal Newman head Jane Crow.
She said collaborating would allow the schools to share resources and best practice.
Megan and the runners up were presented with prizes at a ceremony at Luton Hoo Hotel on Wednesday.
