A man had chemicals sprayed in his face during a confrontation outside KFC in Wigmore Lane.
The victim had just attended a funeral when he and some friends went to the restaurant for some food.
At about 3.45pm on September 6, an altercation took place with the offender and the victim tried to defuse the situation by going outside KFC with the offender, but once outside he was sprayed in the face with a chemical.
The chemical had a similar impact to CS spray, and left the victim with reddening to his face and stinging to his eyes.
The offender, who fled the scene, is described as a white male, 17 or 18 years old, about five ft seven and wearing a grey tracksuit.
The victim said the offender spoke with a ‘gangster-style’ accent.
