The leader of the English Defence League is planning to visit residents in Stopsley to address concerns over a planned protest there on Bank Holiday Monday.
Tommy Robinson, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, is currently on bail after appearing at Westminster Magistrates’ Court yesterday charged with obstructing police officers in east London.
He and co-leader Kevin Carroll allegedly tried to defy a ban on marching to the scene of the murder of soldier Lee Rigby on June 29.
Both were released on bail and are due to appear at the same court on September 11.
On Twitter today, Tommy said: “I’m in stopsley tomorrow talking with residents and popping into the traveller site 2 see if any1 has any concerns.” (sic)
