Keech Hospice Care is keen to dispel the misconception that hospices only help patients in their last few days.
Spokeswoman Andie Hill said: “We provide support to patients and their families from diagnosis through to bereavement care.
“The needs of in-patients, their carers and family can be very complex and time-dependent.
“We offer everything from access to social workers to complementary therapies and one-to-one emotional support.”
