A car fire which spread to a family home in Lewsey Farm this morning (April 17) is being treated as suspicious.
Emergency services were called to Holkham Close at 2.20am and found a Vauxhall Corsa on fire and a damaged gas pipe.
A mother and two children were evacuated from the nearest property, and a family living next door were also evacuated.
The family home had cracked windows as a result of the fire, there was damage to the exterior of the property and the guttering and UPVC front door had collapsed.
The gas board were called to make the gas leak at the front of the property safe.
A nearby neighbour who saw the fire said the family went to stay with relatives after the blaze, and the family next door are now back home.
Police officers are currently making house-to-house enquiries to establish the cause of the suspected arson.
No one was injured.
