A group of people were threatened by men wielding hand guns in High Town last night (April 2).
A woman, aged 43, and three men, aged 18, 21, and 22, had congregated outside a house in Elgar Path when a blue people carrier with a yellow taxi light on top pulled up alongside them at about 8.30pm.
Two men got out of the vehicle and pulled what appeared to be two hand guns from beneath their clothing and pointed them at the victims, threatening them.
The two youngest men ran from the scene down Elgar Path and were followed by the offenders.
Det Sgt Emma James said: “Full search of the area was conducted but as yet no one has been arrested in connection with this investigation. I would appeal to the taxi driver to come forward and assist with this investigation and anyone who has information about the car or the people involved in this incident. The use of any weapon within our county will not be tolerated by Bedfordshire Police and anyone with information can be reassured that they can speak to officers in complete confidence.”
The first offender is described as a white man in his 20s with a slim build, wearing a blue peaked baseball cap and full navy blue Adidas tracksuit.
The second man was a light-skinned mixed race man between 18 and 22 years old, carryig a small satchel.
