Two thirds of Bedfordshire firms have failed to plan for how they would recover from a major business catastrophe like a fire, flooding or severe weather.
That’s according to the Bedfordshire and Luton Local Resilience Forum (BLLRF) in advance of an awareness-raising week from March 18-22. BLLRF says creating a plan is simple and quick and wants that survival message to get through during Business Continuity Awareness Week.
BLLRF’s tips to survive disaster include having an evacuation and relocation plan, a list of key contacts like suppliers, having vital data backed up in the Cloud or offsite and having sufficient insurance cover for losses and restoring your business.
Planning for business survival should begin by assessing potential risks, the organisation says.
