CINEMA-GOERS can see parts of the Luton Hoo estate on the big screen from Friday, in Steven Spielberg’s latest movie, War Horse.
The legendary director was at the stately home in October 2010 for two days of filming on a closed set.
The film, based on the book by bestselling children’s author Michael Morpurgo, tells the story of a horse commandeered by the cavalry during the First World War.
The estate has provided fertile ground for directors in the past, with scenes from Empire of the Sun, Eyes Wide Shut and Four Weddings and a Funeral also shot there.
