Police are hunting for a sex offender who targeted two women in identical attacks in Luton on the same night.
Both incidents happened between 3.30am and 3.40am on Saturday February 23.
A 22-year-old victim was making her way home from work, speaking on her mobile phone in Tennyson Road when she was approached by the offender who grabbed her, put his hand between her legs and groped her.
She screamed loudly and the offender ran towards the town centre.
A few moments later, a 25-year-old woman in nearby Albert Road who was walking home from a night out was approached from behind and groped between the legs.
The woman turned around and the offender fled towards the town centre.
Det Con Nadia Hussein said: “Both victims have been left very distressed upset by the ordeals they suffered and it is important that we find the offender who committed these offences and stop him from committing any further crimes.
“If anyone saw either assault taking place or knows who the offender may be then I would urge them to contact Bedfordshire Police as quickly as possible.”
The offender is described as a black male in his early 40s, around 5ft 5 with short black hair which was balding and a grey or green Parker style jacket.
