ASPIRING actors from a Luton performing arts group are looking forward to wowing the crowds with a special festive performance this Saturday.

Budding thespians aged seven to 11 from Gifted Junior Performing Arts Saturday School, run by social enterprise MIGHTY, will stage an adapted version of The Nutcracker at the Lewsey Farm Learning Centre, Tomlinson Avenue, from 4.30pm until 6pm.

The group, who have performed at the UK Centre for Carnival Arts, Luton Library Theatre, The Grove Theatre and The Core Theatre in Corby, have been tutored by MIGHTY founder Lennina Ofori and junior theatre director Dom Addison.

Lennina told the H&P: “The young people have worked tirelessly to learn new skills and develop their natural gifts. With laughter, excitement and amazing Christmas Carols to prepare the community for Christmas this is one piece of childrens community theatre not to be missed.”
