Residents are anxiously awaiting a decision on potential new gipsy and traveller sites in the Central Bedfordshire area.
Councillors are currently debating which sites out of a long list published in January should make a shortlist for public consultation.
Today’s meeting at Priory House in Shefford has seen dozens of residents speak against sites being included on the list.
Sites in Harlington, Barton, Pulloxhill and to the south of Dunstable were initially put forward by commitee chair David McVicar for inclusion. A site in Bidwell was not included.
However, Mr McVicar has now withdrawn Harlington from his list of preferred sites.
