A Farley Hill marketing manager is set to face her fears and jump out of a plane to raise a ton of cash for Keech Hospice Care.
Charlie O’Brien, 27, of Whipperley Ring, will be leaping from a plane at 10,000ft when she takes part in her first skydive on May 12 at Hinton, in Northamptonshire.
Charlie works for Luton law firm Pictons, which has already raised £3,000 for Keech.
Charlie says: “I think everybody locally knows someone who has been through Keech or benefited from the services they provide. “Since Pictons chose Keech as its Charity of the Year, I have often wandered around the hospice admiring the nurses and the support staff as well as the fundraisers for the tireless and unselfish work and services they provide.
“My best friend Nichola works there as a nurse and I’m in admiration of her.
“The sky dive is something that I always said I wouldn’t do but then I just thought to myself: ‘What a wimp!’
“I decided to go for it because Keech and the patients and staff deserve it.”
