A Luton businesswoman says she is “in shock” after winning a competition to find the most promising young companies in the region.
Lisa Eggleton, owns and runs My Clinic, in High Street, Leagrave, which started out as Solutions Laser Clinic in 2010 specialising in tattoo and hair removal and skin rejuvenation.
But since then the business has branched out into offering a huge range of treatments including slimming.
Lisa entered the Local Business Accelerators competition through the Luton News last year and blew away the judges with her enthusiasm and plans to take her company to the next level. She has won a package of local free advertising and mentoring to give the company a boost.
Lisa’s business was also judged to be so impressive that My Clinic is being put forward to the regional level of the competition.
Lisa said: “I am in total shock, I can’t believe I won over all the businesses that entered, when I applied on line I never expected to be shortlisted, when I received the email I was really excited but also scared as I have never made a Power Point presentation and have never presented anything in front of anybody.”
One of the three Local Business Accelerators judges and registered mentor, Richard Cooper said Lisa’s presentation to the panel in December had stood out as “incredibly good quality” from a “serious professional” who had clear plans for growth. My Clinic can clearly benefit from Local Business Accelerators.”
