PLANS to extend and refurbish a Luton special school looked set to be given the green light by council planners last night.
Proposed plans to build a single story extension with enough room for two new classrooms and a staff room at Richmond Hill Primary School, in Sunridge Avenue, were due to be discussed by Luton Borough Council’s development control committee at a meeting last night.
The planned staff room will also double up as a classroom and further proposals include a car park extension, and a modest covered play area.
The development of the school will support “the delivery of current and future special education needs provision within the borough”, according to a council report.
