A four-year plan to improve the health of people in Luton has been agreed.
‘A Healthier Future’ is aimed at increasing life expectancy, reducing infant mortality rates and narrowing the gap between the healthiest and least healthy.
Luton Borough Council leader Hazel Simmons said: “We face some real challenges in Luton so it is vitally important that we make it easier for people to access the right service, in the right place and at the right time.
“Although there will always be a need to deal with illness, this strategy highlights the importance of maintaining good health and prevention, and ensuring services are planned with this in mind.”
