A WOMAN is in hospital after a collision with a car in High Town Road, Luton this morning.
Ambulance crews from Luton and Stevenage attended the scene after being alerted to the accident at 8.54am.
Ambulance spokesman Gary Sanderson said: “The woman, who we believe to be in her 20,s received a serious leg injury and following treatment and stabilisation at the scene by paramedics, she was taken to the Lister Hospital in Stevenage for further care.
“We would like to pass on our sincere thanks to an off-duty nurse who stopped to help the injured woman prior to our arrival. Her help was very much appreciated.”
