A teenager was robbed of Christmas presents he was about to give to his girlfriend on Boxing Day.

The incident happened at about 6pm at the junction of Sundon Park Road and Toddington Road as the 15-year-old victim walked to his girlfriend’s house.

He was walking in an alleyway behind two men who suddenly stopped, grabbed the victim and pushed him against a fence before searching his pockets.

They took his iPod Touch, BlackBerry Curve and a bag which contained his girlfriend’s presents –a silver necklace with a heart-shaped pendant covered in diamantes and a pair of diamante stud earrings.

Det Con Rebecca Kitts said: “It’s very sad to see that these men have targeted the victim on a day which should have been a happy one and when most people are spending time with their families and friends. These men are much older than the victim and it is possible that residents may have seen them walking in the area prior to the robbery and I would urge anyone who saw them or anyone who can help identify them to come forward and speak to the police.”

The men are both described as black, 30-40 yaers of age and wearing black clothing.

If you have information call Det Con Kitts in confidence on 01582 394442, or Bedfordshire Police on 101, or text information to 07786 200011.

Alternatively you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
