Children at Ferrars Junior School dug out their Christmas jumpers to raise money for Save the Children on Friday (December 14).
The pupils and staff joined people across the country wearing the festive knitwear to raise money and help save children’s lives.
Festive sweaters, everyday jumpers jazzed up with some tinsel – even Granny’s homemade knitwear got a look-in, with £1 donated by each person taking part.
Save the Children is working to stop children under five dying from easily preventable diseases like pneumonia and malnutrition, from which £7.6million under-fives die every year.
Save the Children aims to stop this happening and ensure more children get the chance to grow up and fulfil their potential, no matter where they live.
