Austrian gingerbread, Scottish shortbread, German candles and Lapland jams were just some of the interesting festive items featured at Pirton Hill Primary School’s annual Christmas Fayre.
The event was organised by Year 3 and involved each year group producing a traditional Christmas speciality from a European country.
The school was decorated as a festive wonderland with snow flakes leading visitors, Ikea style, round the stalls.
Pastoral care assistant headteacher Emma Collis said: “It was a huge success.
“We raised more than £1,100 - the most ever.”
This has been a busy week for the little learners – they held their nativity play yesterday (December 18) and there will be a carol concert at the school today at 2.45pm.
