Drivers are urged to take care on the roads following a spate of road collisions throughout The East of England region.
Since 1.45am today, The East of England Ambulance Service Trust (EEAST) has received 35 emergency calls.
Ambulance service spokesman Gary Sanderson said: “At this time of the year, the combination of wet weather, high winds and leaves falling off trees on to the road which can make the roads slippery and the nights drawing in early on, we do see a rise in road traffic collisions on our roadways.
“Please plan out your journey and if possible please take an alternative route to avoid flooded areas as it’s not worth the risk getting stranded in rising water and risking your lives. Remember to watch your speed, and leave plenty of distance for breaking.”
